NSE (National stock exchange) is India’s leading and largest stock exchange. With a market value of more than US$ 3.4 trillion, it has grown to be the tenth largest stock exchange in the world.

The NSE runs efficient and flawless trading operations all year long. On weekdays, it is open for trade from 9.15 am to 3.30 pm (regular session), providing a 6-hour, 15-minute trading period. Both Saturdays and Sundays are designated as NSE trading holidays.

Many investors engage in daily trading, necessitating intense concentration on stock market developments. A few stocks market holidays, in addition to the weekends, give them a chance to relax because the stock markets are closed. Typically, these market holidays coincide with religious or cultural festivals (such as Diwali) (i.e., Gandhi Jayanti).
